Marina Is a Rap Song

by Jacob Perrine

Marina is a rap song,

The sirens are the screeching records,

The car horns are the trumpets,

And the volume is on high.

The Bay

by Lanie Ricketts

I remember

Picking up seashells,

Hugging the sand,

And laughing with the waves.

I remember

Being with people that cared

Hoping to stay another day,

And loving every moment.

I remember

Ice cream all over my clothes,

Licking my mouth, fingers, and toes,

And not caring one bit at all.

I remember

Riding the waves, loving them too,

Laughing, playing, while the sun beamed through me,

And knowing that this is where I was meant to be.

I remember

Kissing dawn and hating dusk

Exhaustion never came,

And I was always happy.

I remember.
